The Healthy Feet Project Risk AssessmentClues from the lesions

What are the common risks for lameness on dairy farms?
(What is causing the problem?)

Due to the many different causes of lameness there are no straight forward, quick fix solutions for all farms. This is why it is important to assess every farm individually and carry out a risk assessment to discover the root causes of lameness on each farm.

Full Risk Assessment Full Risk Assessment - This can be done in a very detailed way using the Healthy Feet Project risk assessment , which we have used on all project farms to discover where problems lie.
Short Risk Assessment Short Risk Assessment - in a quicker, less formal way, consider the general areas of management likely to influence the main foot problems
Clues from Clues from the lesions - The type of lesions most commonly occurring can give clues to the likely causes
