Digital dermatitis was found in 14 (1.4%) of 1000 cattle examined in the Konya area of Turkey. Of 14 affected cattle, 6 were positive in an ELISA for serum antibodies to B. burgdorferi. The Warthin Starry silver stain showed numerous spirochaetes on sections of the foot lesions. Treatment was by removal of necrotic tissue and application of astringent and oxytetracycline dressings
