Description
Disease investigation on suspected cases of fluorosis in 88 cows and 65 buffaloes indicated that lameness, palpable bony lesions, and poor performance with or without dental lesions can provide initial evidence of the disease. These signs may, however, be inconclusive without supportive evidence of excessive fluoride intake. Urine fluoride estimation was found to be a convenient way to strengthen a clinical diagnosis
