Measurement of sole thickness in cattle by radiography was carried our on 12 hind feet collected from a slaughter house. Taking into account the radiographic magnification, the sole thickness was calculated, which was closely related to the actual thickness. Results of the pilot study indicate that the method can be used to measure sale growth in cattle
